About Cagrilintide

Amylin is a peptide hormone released from the pancreas together with insulin. Native amylin is short-lived, so Cagrilintide was developed as a long-acting analogue: its peptide chain (the 37-residue sequence in the table) carries a fatty-acid modification that binds albumin and a disulfide bridge between its two cysteines. Its development is described by Kruse et al. (2021).

We list it under Metabolic research. Clinical work includes a phase 2 trial of Cagrilintide alone in adults with overweight and obesity (Lau et al., 2021), but much of its literature studies it together with Semaglutide — from a phase 1b trial of the pair (Enebo et al., 2021) to later large trials (Garvey et al., 2025). That pairing is also listed here as the CagriSema blend.

Does the sequence in the table show the whole molecule?

No. It lists the 37 amino acids of the peptide chain in one-letter code. The fatty-acid modification and the disulfide bridge are not written in that line, but they are counted in the formula and molecular weight (C194H312N54O59S2, 4409 g/mol); use those values for molar calculations.

Is Cagrilintide also available blended with Semaglutide?

Yes, as CagriSema: the two peptides in equal masses in one vial. If you would rather set your own ratio, order Cagrilintide and Semaglutide as single products; each lot of each has its own COA.
