About CJC-1295 with DAC

CJC-1295 with DAC is the long-acting member of the CJC-1295 family. Its peptide part is a GHRH fragment with substitutions that resist cleavage; on top of that, a maleimidopropionyl group on a lysine — the Drug Affinity Complex — reacts with a cysteine of serum albumin, so the peptide travels bound to albumin.

Teichman et al. (2006) studied its prolonged effect on GH and IGF-I secretion, and Ionescu et al. (2006) found that GH still comes in pulses during continuous stimulation. A 2010 paper by Henninge et al. identified CJC-1295 in an unknown pharmaceutical preparation, a reminder of why identity checks matter for this compound. What is the difference between CJC-1295 with DAC and without DAC?

Both are built on a modified GHRH fragment. The DAC version adds the albumin-binding linker, which keeps it in circulation far longer; the version without DAC acts briefly, much like native GHRH. They have different CAS numbers and masses (3647.2 g/mol for this one).

What does the COA check for the DAC form?

HPLC purity and MS identity against the mass of the whole molecule, linker included. If your work depends on the linker still being reactive, say so in your inquiry so the sales representative can tell you what can be documented.
