About Mazdutide

Mazdutide is a lipidated peptide that activates the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors but not the GIP receptor. That puts it between Semaglutide, which acts on GLP-1 only, and Retatrutide, which acts on GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon — and next to Survodutide, which covers the same two receptors with a different molecule. Its development codes are IBI362 and LY3305677.

We list it under Metabolic research. The trials listed here were run in China: a phase 1b study (Ji et al., 2022), a trial in adults with obesity or overweight (Ji et al., 2025) and a comparison with dulaglutide in type 2 diabetes (Guo et al., 2026). Dulaglutide is in the catalog as well.

Both act on the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors and not on GIP, but they are different molecules, with different sequences, formulas and CAS numbers.
