About TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4, full-length)

TB-500 here is synthetic full-length Thymosin β4: the mature 43-residue, N-terminally acetylated peptide (Ac-SDKPDMAEIEKFDKSKLKKTETQEKNPLPSKETIEQEKQAGES) that sequesters monomeric G-actin in nearly every mammalian cell type. Its central LKKTETQ motif (residues 17-23) is the actin-binding region behind the cell-migration, angiogenesis and tissue-repair activity studied in the preclinical literature on wound healing, cardiac remodeling and tendon-ligament repair models. Full-length Thymosin β4 is the same molecule studied clinically as RGN-259 (ophthalmic) and related formulations under the name Timbetasin; those clinical programmes used defined finished formulations, so their results describe those products and should not be read as applying directly to a research lot. The seven-residue Ac-LKKTETQ fragment (sometimes also sold as "TB-500") is a different, much smaller compound and is listed separately as TB-500 (fragment 17-23).

Medabol supplies TB-500 acetate as a lyophilized powder to a ≥99.0% HPLC purity specification. At 43 residues the sequence sits in the upper-middle range of routine SPPS, so the analytical packet emphasizes peak-integration HPLC plus ESI mass spec to confirm the intact mass of the full-length chain and to clear closely eluting deletion sequences. Sequence verification by LC-MS/MS is available on request; for a 43-mer it is the test that shows the residue order is right, and it also rules out the most common identity error in this market, a vial that actually contains the short fragment. TB-500 is most commonly ordered as the standalone vial or as the Wolverine Blend with BPC-157 (5+5 mg per 10 mg vial standard, custom ratios via Medabol's custom-synthesis programme).

They differ in CAS, molecular weight and evidence base, so the name alone does not tell you what is in the vial. Confirm identity by ESI mass spec against the intact mass of the acetylated 43-residue chain and, where available, LC-MS/MS sequence coverage; at this length tandem MS also distinguishes positional deletion variants that HPLC purity alone cannot. A supplier's COA should state which of the two materials the lot is.

What's the practical difference between using TB-500 alone vs. the Wolverine Blend with BPC-157?

TB-500 and BPC-157 act through different molecular mechanisms, TB-500 is an actin-sequestering peptide affecting cellular migration and tissue remodeling, while BPC-157 acts through nitric-oxide-pathway modulation and growth-factor-receptor cross-talk.
