About Melatonin

Melatonin is not a peptide but a small indoleamine made from tryptophan, mostly by the pineal gland during the dark phase. It is the hormone most closely tied to day–night timing, and it is also studied widely as an antioxidant (Reiter et al., 2016).

We list it under Cognition & sleep next to DSIP and Pinealon. Retail melatonin products are not a reliable lab source: a 2023 research letter by Cohen et al. measured how much melatonin retail gummies actually contained compared with their labels. A research lab needs the pure compound with a lot COA.
